I hope you are all well. Please find attached a call for contributions in English and French. The aim of this call is for it to result in a collection of primary sources illustrating the main arguments of African anti-slavery activists from all regions of the continent over the last two centuries. The resulting volume will be published under a fully open access licence and will be useful to all historians and students interested in this phenomenon. Please consider contributing an abstract, and please circulate this call to any interested colleagues in your networks. The deadline for submissions is 5 January 2026 (detailed information is in the attachments).

J’espère que vous allez toutes et tous bien. Vous trouverez ci-joint un appel à contributions en anglais et en français. L’objectif de cet appel est de constituer un recueil de sources primaires illustrant les principaux arguments anti-esclavagistes des africains de toutes les régions du continent au cours des deux derniers siècles. Le volume qui en résultera sera publié sous licence libre d’accès et sera utile à tous les historiens et étudiants intéressés par ce phénomène. N’hésitez pas à envoyer une proposition et à diffuser cet appel à tous vos collègues intéressés dans vos réseaux.
